Advisory Board

The SchoolRubric Advisory Board is a group of diverse, passionate educational leaders from around the world that help guide our strategic objectives by building upon strengths, identifying opportunities, and facilitating connections. In order to have continuity and a plan of succession, advisory board members typically commit to 1-2 year terms. The expertise and composition of the advisory board membership reflect SchoolRubric’s commitment to incorporate a variety of backgrounds and voices in our strategic development process on a global scale. The Advisory Board meets with the SchoolRubric leadership team each month and also form special subcommittees or working groups as needed.

Catarina Chen

Head of School, American School of Belo Horizonte

Catarina Song Chen is an international educator and serves as the Head of School at the American School of Belo Horizonte, located in Brazil and recipient of the 2015 National Distinguished Principal award.

Michael Lovorn

Assistant Dean of Global Engagement, SUNY Buffalo

Michael runs the Office of Global Engagement and International Graduate Program for Educators at SUNY Buffalo State and earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (special emphasis in Secondary Social Studies Education) at the University of Tennessee in 2003.

Dr. Lizzy Asbury

CEO, TransCend4

Dr. Lizzy Asbury has served students in rural, suburban, and urban districts mostly in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex as a teacher, school administrator, and central office director. Dr. Asbury now leads TransCend4 as Chief Executive Officer. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.

Michele Hill

Coordinator of Strategic Communications and Admissions, BCIT

Michele Hill is a passionate educator who serves as a coordinator of admissions and communications at Burlington County Institute of Technology. Michele has been a guest blogger for ASCD Inservice, McGraw Hill, Principal Leadership, Teacher Tool Kit UK, Edweek and ASCD Road Tested and is also the producer of DisruptEdTV School Spotlight.
